We developed an all-purpose rub, GRUNT Rub, which has become a staple with many of our customers. It is savory with a little kick and goes with beef, chicken, pork, as well as a flavor enhancer in potato salad and coleslaw. Frenchman's Barbecue in Cumberland, Maine which uses Grunt rub and Habanero sauce said, "Your rub revolutionized my ribs."
Why "GRUNT Rub"? 'GRUNT" is a term of endearment in Stacey's family's home. "Come on Grunt," was and still is commonly heard. It was said with affection.
